Contracting Agile Development Teams - Output-based

Contracting external Agile Teams is often done input-based: hourly rates by function/role,. e.g. senior developer = $180 per hour. However, this only favors the vendor, as he is paid for all effort hours and doesn't have an incentive to be productive. In this short paper it is explained how output-based contracting works.
